Vision
F – Faith In Christ
Value Statement: We are saved through faith through God’s grace and not by your own effort.
In acknowledgement of his grace, we will:
- Maintain a deep spiritual replationship with Christ through prayer and Bible study in preparation for divin translation.
- Show our love by praying for one another and bearing each other’s burden.
- Make bold plans for the future, recognizing that our faith rests in God’s resources and not our own.
I – Involvement in Missions
Value Statement: Our mission and calling is to build God’s kingdom.
To accomplish this, we will:
- Devote significant amounts of time, energy, and resources to reach the lost.
- Support missionary projects overseas through our offerings and/or personal mission project worldwide.
- Seek, identify, train, and equip people with leadership.
- Conduct need oriented evangelism through community involvement utilizing spiritual, medical, and social ministry.
- Encourage humility through selfless service.
- Give people and financial resources to help start new churches.
L – Love for God’s Word
Value Statement: The Bible, as the word of God is our supreme authority for faith, life, and ministry.
Recognizing this, we will:
- Promote the study of God’s word.
- Encourage regualr family worship.
- Commit Bible verses to memory.
A – Adoration
Value Statement: Our worship, a meeting between God and His people, should be inspirational and uplifting, attracting seekers and addressing their needs.
To accomplish this, we will practice a reverend form of worship by:
- Instilling in the mind, respect for the house of the Lord.
- Devote great care in the choice of music that will elevate the mind and touch the hearts.
- Approaching the Lord in simplicity and modesty in appearance; revealing Christ through meek and lowly spirit by abstaining from jewelry and adornment.
- Being faithful in tithes and offerings.
- Work within the organization framework of the Seventh-day Adventist Church; upholding and practicing the fundamental beliefs of the SDA Church which includes the Spirit of Prophecy writings of Ellen G. White.
M – Multiculturalism of Christ’s Body
Value Statement: Every human being is created in God’s image and reflects God’s glory and majesty.
To accomplish this, we will:
- Show sensitivity and respect towards cultural differences.
- Accept ethnic differences in a larger unity in the body of Christ.
- Strive to be culturally informed for the sake of reaching people for Christ, but not “culture-captives”, in the sense of surrendering SDA values, beliefs, and behavior.
- Promote cultural programs through social nights and other events.
- Establish a culturally-relevant outreach ministries.
